What do you think about how Creekview is designed? Do you think that there should have been different things in it? Should it have had more windows/less windows/skylights/different color rooms/more floors/two gyms/rooms in different places/etc? What could have been done to the school to make you LEARN better in the classroom? Give me your feedback on the school building that you are a part of!

All in all, I really like the design for Creekview. I wish that the Cafeteria area would have been designed differently so that there was a courtyard right next to it – perhaps with tables and benches. The current courtyard reminds me of what it must feel like to get “outside time” while you are in prison – you are surrounded by walls with people watching you… What does anyone else think?
All the walls are bland, just white, its really, really boring.
Creekview is a very good design. We need to have more room for when we have all four grades. overall creekview has a good layout

… paint the walls green, make the courtyard circular, put some curtains up.
I think the design of Creekview is good. It is a simple building and is easy to get around. The halls are wide. And thats a good thing because students have to open there lockers and people need room to walk by. The gym and cafeteria were well built and designed. But I think they could have put blinds on the windows. That way the sun wouldn’t be shining so brightly on your face and the computer screens. But overall, this school was designed very well.
I agree brink63 comment. I like the why it’s laid out. and I love how big the gym is.
I like the overall design of Creekview. As it has been said before, the hallways are a good size and it is not very crowded, of course we do not have all 4 classes yet, but I do not think that it will ever be very crowded.
There is one thing though. The lunch lines. They could be designed a little better so that you can get your lunch faster and more efficiently. This could be related to the work ethic of the Cafeteria staff also, but I won’t go there, I don’t have the energy… : )

I agree with Dustin, I like this school and its design and layout. I’m not really sure exactly how confusing it will be in a few years when we have 9-12 instead of just 9-10, since there will be more halls and stuff but still, once you get used to where you’re going its easy to get around and stuff. Some of the lockers are confusing because the same numbers are on both the 1100 and 1200 halls, don’t really know about the 1300, and the lockers can get frustrating sometimes but still.. for the most part the school is great. I have to say one of my favorite places in the school is either the gym or the theatre, both are really awesome.
The outside view of the school is plain, we need to show more of our school colors (green and blue).
i think we need a bigger parking lot, because when we have all of the grades at creekview there might not be enough to go around

I agree that we should add school colors on the outside. When you drive up the school looks so BLAH. Haha. So yeah we should deff. add school colors.
i like how creekview was designed … it is really big…… we have our own theatre…

I FEEL THAT WE WILL HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE SIZE OF THE HALLWAYS IN TWO YEARS. TO START WITH, THEY REALLY AREN’T THAT WIDE. I REMEMBER THE HALLWAYS IN MY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL WERE WIDER. SECOND, WE ARE GOING TO RUN OUT OF LOCKERS SOON.

WE ALSO NEED MORE PARKING AND A BETTER WAY TO GET OUT OF THE LOT. IT TOOK ME 30 MINUTES TO GET OUT OF THE PARKING LOT WHEN WE WERE RELEASED AFTER MIDTERMS BACK IN DECEMBER.
WE NEED BLINDS IN THE CLASS ROOM. ANYONE WHO HAS A CLASS FACING THE SUN IN THE MORNING REALLY NOTICES!!!!
I have a few thoughts to share on this thought-provoking topic!
I personally love my corner of the world at Creekview….the library is bright, airy, and spacious. While there are a few minor changes I would make, I love how cheerful the library feels—it seems to invite students and teachers to come in, browse for a book, and enjoy some time in the media center. Like many of you, I would love to have blinds at some point in the future as the hallway traffic can be distracting when I am teaching, or the afternoon sun make it difficult for students to see the image on the large projection screen when I am using it for a mini-lesson in the main area of the library.
I have been intrigued by the comments on the use of white on the interior. When I was an English teacher at Woodstock High in our opening year back in 1996, the rooms were painted certain colors because the contractors consulted a color psychologist (or so I was told!); the colors were supposed to be soothing. My room was a pale mauve, which I personally enjoyed. Perhaps as we add art and Grizzly related items in the next few years, the white will be a nice canvas to showcase student work and items of Grizzly pride!

yes, blinds, the sun kills my eyes some days. And i agree with andy saying that we need a better layout for parking, midterms was just insane, i had to run to get out befor the insanity got even worse.
The design is good but I would agree with the courtyard problem. The school has the latest technology which is good.
I think there should be a, non-enclosed, courtyard. If it is a nice day outside, you would never know it now, because no wind can be felt and it scorches like an oven in the current courtyard.
An open courtyard would be great and I think it would get its use all the time.

Revising what I said in March, We won’t have a problem with the hallways in two years, we have a problem now. It is impossible to go from one side of the building to another. I personally think we need an expressway.
I hope that the new formed spirit club will help increase school spirit.
We still need a better way to get out of the parking lot. It has gotten much worse this year. They only allow you to enter and exit out of one place now. The crossing guards mess up traffic and it takes 15 minutes to leave school.
I am pleased that they have installed blinds in most of the classrooms. Much improved!
I think that Creekview is great and everything but we’re going to need more space for when all four grades get in here. We’re going to be so packed in. Heck it wouldn’t hurt to put some trailers outside. The walls are so blank and boring. We need some less boring colors to wake us up in the morning. We need more lines in the cafeteria so we can get our food faster.
I have to agree with AndyBrown on the hallway subject. It is almost impossible to get from the 2300 hall to the 1100 and open your locker and then from the 1100 hall to the 1200 hall in only 5 minutes. What makes it worse is when a big group of people stand in the middle of the hall fraternizing with each other.
Also, you can not forget about using the restrooms and doing everything else in 5 min
