But we can't over populate Cherokee county. Its already heavily populated here in Cherokee. I think Cheroke county should have a capacity. That way we don't have about 10 million people living here in Cherokee county. I think we should keep our farmland. We already have enough stores and restraunts. I think we're doing fine for right now. Maybe when the other parts of the U.S. are over populated we should start letting people take over the farmland. When we moved in between the years of 1994-1996, there was nothing around for miles, except for the occasional gas station, then Riverstone was built. Around the year 2001 the Hickory Flat area started to boom, at the intersection of HWY 140 and East Cherokee Drive. Today, we have all sorts of fast food restaurants, Publix, Tractor Supply, Beef O'Bradys, Advance Auto Parts, and all sorts of other stores. I think that all of these new business' starting is a result of all the new sub divisions because of supply and demand. That said, I do design homes for those types of neighborhoods, I just personally do not agree with the whole leveling of trees part. With E. Cherokee Drive, there are few trees - mostly farmland - so leveling is not an issue. HOWEVER, I do believe that people should respect the land, and that new homes which are built should maintain some amount of property… You should not be able to throw an egg from your front porch and hit your neighbor’s house…even though you might want to I think there should be a well-thought-out balance between homes and farmland.
