Traveling for School…Any Ideas

OKAY, GANG…I asked if anyone was interested in traveling to Italy for Spring Break 2008…and the response was pretty slight.  So, I have a question for you.  WHERE WOULD YOU LIKE TO TRAVEL FOR A SCHOOL TRIP?  Would you like to go to Downtown Atlanta for a day, stay in a hotel, tour everything and learn about your city?  What about Washington DC for a whole weekend?  Maybe a trip to New York to stay near Central Park and explore the architecture of Manhattan?  What is a mini-trip that you would like to do…that is educational and fun?  If you are picking…what would it be?

  1. I WOULD LOVE TO GO ON A TRIP SOMEWHERE, BUT IN THE UNITED STATES. SORRY SALAS, PARENTS WON’T LET ME OUT OF THE COUNTRY ON A FIELD TRIP. I WOULD REALLY LOVE TO GO TO ANY OF THOSE CITYS. ATLANTA WOULD BE A COOL TRIP, BEING AS IT IS SO CLOSE TO US. WHAT ABOUT CHICAGO??? THERE ARE MANY COOL ARCHITECTURE PLACES TO SEE THERE. ANY OTHER IDEAS???

  2. las vegas!!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. yeah, somthing like washington DC would be cool. A lower price becuase it is acutally in the country would allow more people to come along.

  4. Well, I guess I can go with anything really, not too picky. Pretty much just going on a field trip gets me excited. But we should definitely go somewhere besides Georgia, I mean we live in this state, we can go somewhere over the weekend. Like we should go to New York, or like Andy said: Chicago. I’ve actually always wanted to go somewhere outside the country, but if we end up where we can’t go, then that’s okay with me. There’ll be other chances… I hope…

  5. go to GERMANY!!!!!!! lets do it.

  6. I think it would be best to stay in the US. i mean it would be a whole lot cheaper than if we flew out of the country. I don’t want to go to Atlanta because it’s so close and i am familiar with a lot of the downtown buildings. My grandma used to live in Buckhead near Lenox so I saw a lot of cool buildings everytime I went down there. I think it would be really cool to go to New York. I’ve been to Manhatten in New York last christmas (2006) and it was really cool. The buildings are so tall and are designed very well. The NBA Store is situated in a very well built, “fancy” building. It was probably my favorite along with the Trump Tower. But yeah, I think New York would be a great trip for our classes. Good idea Salas. ;-)

  7. I think that where we were origionally going is just fine, I mean of couse some people won’t be able to go but thats unavidable. Mabye why you didn’t get a big responce was because the trip won’t be until next years spring break and people aren’t really worrying about it right now. For most people this would be a one time thing to be able to go to Italy and I wouldn’t want to pass that up. And there is a lot more architectural history there so the buildings there would be a lot more interesting because you can see the different styles of building that they used in different time periods in the past. And besides you could do new things in Italy that you don’t normally do in America and see how the people there live and have fun.

  8. Italy would probably be a one time thing and i would love to go, but basically i would have to fund myself to go. I dont believe that my parents would want to pay for it. So i think that staying in the country would be best.

  9. we could go to the biltmore estates in ashville. it would be great because it would give us a great chance to see older architecture. it would also be inexpensive and quick.

  10. we could go to chicago….??? fun, great architecture

  11. i agree with josh lets go to Germany!

  12. Lets go to Savannah because the Suburban can make it before the Lexus car.

  13. I am with rich2009, I think Chicago would be great. It has very good architecture and it is a great city (I have been there). Very fun and I think it would be possible.

    Anyone else for Chicago?

  14. I would love to travel anywhere (whether it be Chicago, Germany, the Biltmore, etc.) out of state, mainly becuase most attractions that are in Georgia are less than an hour drive away and easily accessible, if I haven’t already seen them. I wouldn’t mind giving away a weekend or break either.

  15. I wouldnt mind going to Chicago!

  16. I think we should go to Dallas. There are a lot of cool buildings out there and it is a fun place to go.

  17. I think it might be nice to go to Las Vegas, Las Angeles, or maybe even New York City and see all thoughs big buildings. Everyone is saying it would be cool to go to Chicago. So it would also be nice to maybe see Chicago too.

  18. In Chicago, we could go to the Shed Aquarium, Adler Plantarium, Soilder Field, and many other cool places.

Maybe we could go to Charleston??? Lots of cool achitecture there, the beach, and the hometown of the best BBQ in the country, Sticky Fingers.

  19. Also in Charleston, there are several colleges to see. If we go to Charleston, we should stay at the Embassy Suites in downtown that used to be part of the Citidel. Also, if we went to Charleston, the Tahoe car would own the old lady lexus car.

  20. Dallas would be cool too! Home of the Cowboys! We would have to go to Arlington for a day to see the construction of the new stadium!
