The Hearst Building is the coolest building I have ever seen. It is located in NYC and is a “Green” building. The architecture of the building has two styles. Looking at the bottom of the structure, it looks like they cut the upper portion off of an older looking building made out of stone. The upper section is made out of glass and steel. This seems to be a giant glass structure built in the middle of a city. It contains a strong base, Im guessing it is over 26 stories high. It has triangle shapes along the windows and goes in on the corners of the construction. There looks to be a parking lot on the top part of the base.
The Hearst Building is very futuristic looking. Then bottom part of the building looks like a old hotel. It seems to have very detail columns going up the side. The top part of the building is very cool looking. If you look at it from the side it looks very rigid, or jagged. They used alot of glass and steel to create the upper part of the building.

The Hearst Building looks to me almost like a honeycomb the way the windows are shaped. The bottom of this building looks liked an old-fashioned hotel made out concrete. The bottom part is about 6 or 7 stories tall and it looks like there are some cars and snack stands around the base of the building itself. The building is made of huge glass panels that look to be connected by huge metal poles. Behind the glass, there appears to be rows and rows of steel bars that could possibly be reinforcing the glass.
This buiding is kind of odd. The bottom part is older looking and the upper part is modern and sleek. The odd shape of this building really sets the theme. It is also in the surroundings of other buildings that look nothing like it. The bottom part of the building looks kind of like a castle, then it transforms into a bee hive shaped structure. If i had one thing to relate this building to, it would be, Marge Simpsons hair.
The building is neat in its design. I think that the design could symbolize the advances in engineering and architure over the years with an older looking base and a newer looking top. The top of the glass part is flat along with the bottom of it. It also looks as though multiple glass panes make up the giant triangles which look like support beams or something of the sort. The edges on the side of the building may be to help the air blow over the building to where the building will not have as much force on the building as if it were just square.
The Hearst Building must be at least twenty stories high. The bottom part of the building where it is made of mostly concrete must be somewhere between five and ten stories high. The upper part of the building which I already talked about is made mostly of some sort of tented glass. The architechs were really good using triangle to form the building. The lower part of the building looks as if it is being used for a parking lot for cars and maybe a couple food stands are down there. The building is surrounded by lots of other tall buildings. This building was built down a busy street. There are probably hundreds of offices in this building.
The Hearst Building looks to have its first 10 or so floors as budget office space. From this budget office space there is a lovely steel and glass sky scraper of a unique design. The steel and glass deal looks like a lattice. The building behind the Hearst Building looks to have the beginning floors following suite of the Hearst Building. Also the building looks like it is inside the lattice work (if that makes sense), because the offices would look funky if they had planes for corners.
The Hearst building is a skysraper that is an office building. This is a very cool building which seems to incorporate an older building on the bottom and a newer modern skyscraper on top. If you look at it from the side it looks very jagged. It is made of glass on the bottom and stone on the bottom. The rock it is made out of is a brown color. It is really cool and i would like to go and see it if I had the chance.
The Hearst building is very unique in its structure. It is at least 20-25 stories. Its diamond shapes on the sides of the building seem to be glass. The glass seems to act as a shell for the actual “Insides” of the building. It looks very modern, but if you look closely on the inside of the glass it loooks very old, not historic but an everyday ordinary building. So does the bottom of the building. It looks like an english or brittish type structure. The contrast of the structure is what makes it truly unique, its so modern but yet so “old”. it looks like they made it from the top down, and at the bottom they ran out of glass, and had to use stone or concrete. This is a very unique and extrodinary building.

It looks as though the top of the building is mostly made of glass. It also looks as though the base is made of mostly stone and brick. Also, because of the top being mostly of glass, it is more energy effecient. The glass on the building will also reflect the sky. It looks as though the roof is also made of glass.

The Hearst Building is an amazing office building. This is a very modern building. It is one of the tallest in the area. The first few floors are a normal box shape building. but the the rest of this building that is comeing out of the top of the cheap offices is an amazing stucture. It is made of steel and glass. In triangles that form a honnycomb shape all the way to the top. the building has no type of roof on it. The glass reflects the color of the sky on to the building. All in all this is a very amazing building.
The Hearst Building is a cool, modern office building in New York City. The Hearst Building is very strange and unusual compared to the buildings that surround it. It is tall, around 30 stories tall. The color of the top of the building changes with the position of the sun because it is made almost completely made out of glass. The base of the building makes it even cooler. It is just like every other small building around it, but then the glass tower raises out of it. One cool feature of the building is the Diagrid Structure. A diagrid is when the corners of the building sink in to one point or a line. This design distributes the load more evenly and allows the building to need less steel.

It looks like the building is new and it looks like it is the same hight as the other buildings aroud it. The base of the building looks like it is made of some type of brick or stone i can not see in any great detail. The glass on the building acts like a mirror showing all that is infront of it, it shows buildings and even the sun setting behind the other buildings.
The Hearst building is a new type of sckyscraper. This building has a modern look to it with the use of triangles instead of the classic rectangular shape. It seems tall, but not as tall as some of the other skyscrapers. It is made of glass and steel crossbeams to give support. The glass seems to have a mirror like finish and reflects the light off the sky. The roof seems to be nonexsistant and the sides are folded in, looks like they have fallen in. The lower region of the building seems to be of an older syle with its use of brick like material. Half way up the sides of the building there seems to be a black spots that could be solar panals.
The Hearst building is located in New York city. the building’s design seems to meld classical and modern. what i mean by that is the base (probably the first 3-5 floors) seems like it came from the more late 1800s. But the rest of the building seems to be a series of glass triangles held up by metal supports. the corners and edges look to be angled like that to save money, so they don’t have to cut panes of glass in half for the edges. doing that also adds a more modern look to the rest of it, and the glass itself reflects the sunlight. the building seems not only to be tall, but wide as well, because from the picture it seems to dwarf the rest of the skyscrapers.

The Hearst Building is an office building in NYC. It’s structure is very modern looking, being made mostly of glass and metal. However, its base looks somewhat older, being made of ordinary brown masonry brick. Its windows are seperated into triangular shapes that are angled geometrically on the four edges of the building. It appears to have an unpitched roof. The large glass windows reflect the horizon and looks quite beautiful in the setting sun. This building is awesome and really adds alot of style to its urban setting.

The sides are made of a bunch of triangles, it reminds me of little shaped blocks I played with as a kid. You can somewhat see the offices on the darker side of the picture. This building looks like it contans a lot of them. Although no roof is shown, I am sure it has one.

It appears to be made of some type of stone. On top of the base there looks like there could be little shops or stands. The skyscraper part of the building is made almost entirely of glass triangles. Holding the triangles together are tons of huge white poles. The poles are most likely made of steel or strong metal. The glass triangles are very picturesque, in that they reflect the sky and scenery around the building. This is definitely a very well-built, good looking building.

The foundation looks to be made out of stone or brick. The foundation resembles the buildings around it. The building also reflects light when the sun’s rays hit it. The building seems to be held together by steel rods at the window’s connection points. This office area looks to have had complicated geometry used in its blueprints. This building stands out greatly compared to the other skyscrapers in the area.
This building is very odd. It seems to stick out compared to the other buildings around it. The building looks very modern building. This building looks like it is made of lots of triangle, glass, window-walls. The base of the building looks like it is made out of concrete, stone, or brick. The upper portion is made out of steel and glass that reflects the sunlight. The corners of the building appear to be intruded. The roof of the building is flat from what I can tell. I am not sure how many floors it has, but i do know that it has at least six floor on the lower part. The building is also about as tall as some of the building around it. The building looks VERY fragile, but then again many buildings have glass for walls.
This building is a very strange building. The bottom of this building is very modern and kinda old looking and has about 6 to 7 stories on the stone building. From the roof of the modern bulding and up is very up to date, new, and mainly glass. The glass has a pattern of triangles all around the glass part of the building. The whole building seems to be about a hundred and 50 stories maybe but the building is pretty tall. The corners of the building seen to be a cut in of the triangles that are the buildings pattern. Also with the modern stone building as the base, the whole building might be standing strong. In the middle of the glass structure there seems to be cement and/or steel to help support the rest of the glass structure. The location of the building and the contruction part for building this building seemed like it could of been trouble because of the location.
At first the only thing I knew about the Hearst Building is it was built in N.Y. city. From the picture it looks very modern and unique with lots of glass and built in a diamond pattern. The funny thing is if you look closly you’ll see that it seems to be built on top of an older building. Its kind of weird I mean was the brick building already there and the builders just decided to put the newer part on top of it or did they just build the whole thing all at once. Either way the two parts don’t go together at all. From the picture it looks like the building is kind of cramed like the rooms are really small. The supportion looks pretty strong though. I wonder what the roof looks like from a top view.
The Hearst building is a strangly modern structure. The building is made of large triangular pieces of thick glass. These pieces are kept together by what looks to be strong steal type beams. The bottom of this structure is a normal office building made of a concrete material. The two large sections of the Hearst dont seem to mesh.It looks like they stuck a modern building on top of an older one. The Hearst is definetly one of the larger building in New York City in terms of width and height. If i were to guess its height i would say it would have to around 30-40 stories tall. At the top it doesnt show a roof. But i would presume it would be made of the same glass as the surronding walls. The corners of this building are indented triangles giving the building a unique shape.
The Hearst Building is very shiny and looks almost like a kingly hat on top of an antique earthen colored base. The building is very tall, adding some reflective trianlges to the skyline around. The “notched” edges of the building give a geometric feel to it as well as giving a “looking down on you” feel at certain angles. The hieght and size of the triangles are tremendous, about 3 stories! The rof seams to be sunken in and there is a parking area on top of the base building.

The is no view of the roof, but im guessing it is the same as the rest of the building.
This building id very interesting. It seems to be made from mostly glass and triangular shapes. It also consists of somewhere between ten and twelve stories. The bottom of the structure seems to be made of brick and mortar work, unlike the glass from there up. Also there is a parking area (observing the parked cars and other vehicles) on the edge of this brick structure near the bottom.
